Getting to know MelanatedMama:

Symphony Zawadi is the parenting and lifestyle content creator behind the brand MelanatedMama. Symphony uses her platform to share her process of guiding 4 carefree Black children, within a blended family structure. Her love for restorative practices and experience as an artist (ARTivist) and school administrator informs her parenting style. She subscribes to and advocates for conscious parenting and social emotional learning. 
​With complete vulnerability and transparency, MelanatedMama highlights all the intricacies (good, bad or indifferent) of intentionally nurturing her Black Family. She unapologetically shares what it means to be a woman first, mother and partner to her new husband. For her, balancing mamahood, marriage, career and her friendships is on full display for others to identify with. 

She uses her experience and research to not only inform her parenting style, but to also cultivate meaningful experiences, products, social media content, workshops, curriculum and webinars for other parents, schools and community members looking to embark on trauma free parenting.
