3 years ago I used arts and craft materials to create letter name plates for my daughters name. Fast forward to today those letters need some updating along with an entirely new set. My sun will be here in about 3 weeks.
The new co-ed mursery/toddler room has a brand new theme ans color scheme. Meaning its time to make new letters. The theme this time around is African themed with yellow and grey as the accent wall colors. I am excited about making new letters...even though i went from having to make 5 to 13 letter name plates.

FINALLY, MY DAUGHTER'S AWAY BAG is packed.
Planning for the arrival of my sun has been one overwhelming task. My hospital bag is packed, my diaper bag is packed and now my daughter's. I managed to pull this off during the wee hours of the morning when i cant sleep. The plan is for her to stay with her "godma godma" (god mother) and gigi (grandma). To make this a seamless and worry free time for both godma, gigi and Marli i have included some cool tips for packing for a toddler!! First off, use zip loc bags. Little people's clothes are still small enough to fit in gallon size zip loc bags. And this makes it easier to keep up with outfits and what ever accessories goes along with it I have planned for 3 days of outfits with 1 oops outfit for any mishaps or accidents. Each bag has an ID card that outlines the bag content and other specific instructions. Each bag contains the outfit and underwear with the desired shoe to accompany. The ID card also helps me and godma when its time to come home better organize all of Marli's belongings. All dirty clothing should be returned to bag and double checked against the card. That way we dont lose anything in transition. I also included a pajama bag and card with Marli's night time routine and an extra bag that includes her toothbrush, tooth paste, lotion etc. I can't wait for the kids to meet one another! And surely hope that Marli doesn't worry people too much. |
